You're curled up with a good book on the beach, just reading there with a good beach read. It's the summer, the weather's beautiful, and the waves are so close - you can almost feel them. I love summer reading, and I declare this summer to be the "Summer of Great Reading" or SGR! :) I will have a new tab on the Meet Aria tab this summer to include all my summer reads so that you readers will have fresh new reads to read for your summer reading. On the top of my head, I remember two good summer reads you might want to start off with. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these two books, and they are from my bookshelf. Look below for the two, why I loved them, and their summaries. Enjoy! :)
Absolutely Normal Chaos by Sharon Creech. Beautiful novel, and one of my favourites. It was packed with everything I love in a read, which is love, mystery, sadness, and a twist to the story. I ended up LOVING it!
This is the summer journal of thirteen-year-old Mary Lou Finney, whose 'absolutely normal chaos' includes life with her three brothers, her sister, and her parents, along with her sometimes best-friend Beth Ann, and Alex Cheevey. When Mary Lou's country cousin, Carl Ray, comes to town, he not only adds to the chaos, but he also brings along his own mystery.

Making Waves by H.B. Gilmour and Randi Resfield was AH-MAZING to say the least. It had mystery, friendship, and more! Best Candy Apple book I have ever read. It was a beautiful story, and I LOVED IT!
Emily, Jenna, and LJ have been a trio forever. So when new girl Aubrey shows up at the summer pool, they're ready to make room for a fourth! Aubrey is friendly, bubbly, and definitely has that it factor. But then she starts ditching the girls at the last minute, and makes lots of lame excuses when she can't hang out.
Could Aubrey have a secret? And will Emily and her friends stick around long enough to find out what it is?
