Hope your reading is going well! :) I saw this picture below and I absolutely loved it. (After all, it was in purple...) After all the purple, I saw this and I immediately thought to share it on TheReviewChronicles. It is absolutely amazing and I immensely believe that it is so true! :) All book-lovers know that reading brings a whole world of joy that you never thought you'd fall in love with and I love the way this is portrayed. Just an amazing statement for today - so enjoy some reading and let us know what your favorite statements are about books that make you crack me or are heartwarming! :)
Hey guys! :) So I'm doing a 50-Book Challenge for 2013 and I'm really excited. So look below for the book I've read and let us at TheReviewChronicles know what you're reading! :) Books Read so Far: 2 Books Read: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and Winter White by Jen Calonita Total Books for the Year: 2/50 1. Catching Fire by Suzanne CollinsAgainst all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol - a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create. Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest she's afraid she cannot stop. And what scares her even more is that she's not entirely convinced she should try. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol's cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. If they can't prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying. In Catching Fire, the second novel of the Hunger Games trilogy, Suzanne Collins continues the story of Katniss Everdeen, testing her more than ever before...and surprising readers at every turn. 2. Winter White by Jen CalonitaIsabelle Scott and Mirabelle Monroe are still reeling from the revelation that they share more than just the roof over their heads. The media has pounced on their story and the girls are caught up in a flurry of talk-show appearances and newspaper interviews. They’ve put on a happy public face, but someone is leaking their true feelings to the press, and while it seems like the world is watching their every move, at least they have each other.
But with cotillion season right around the corner, Izzie and Mira have barely had time to process their newfound sisterhood. Mira has dreamed of making her debut in a gorgeous white gown forever-now, if only she could find an escort. Izzie, meanwhile, is still struggling to find her place in Emerald Cove and it’s seeming ever more impossible with EC mean-girls, young and old, doing their best to keep her down. As cotillion preparations heat up, though, there are dance steps to learn, manners to perfect... and secret initiations to complete? As if sophomore year wasn’t hard enough! It’s time for the gowns to go on and the gloves to come off. As you readers know, Rosella and I are HUGE fans of Lisi Harrison's writing! :) I cannot wait for her new book, Pretenders, formerly known as The Phoenix Five to be released on October 1st, 2013. This new book has a really interesting summary and I cannot wait to read Lisi's new book. Go to http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2013/01/31/ lisi-harrison-pretenders-cover-reveal/#more-88312 to know more about the story and let us know in the comments how excited you are for Lisi's new book. And as always, keep reading with us, only on TheReviewChronicles! :) My picture is on page eighteen of Noble High's Phoenix yearbook. I am one of the Phoenix Five. You nominated me. You thought I was one of the most outstanding students in our freshman class. You were wrong.
Still, I accepted my award. I acted special. But I couldn't help wondering what it was like to be that way for real. So I broke into Ms. Silver's safe in the faculty lounge and stole all five of our journals. I'm not exposing them out of jealousy or anger. I'm doing this because I am tired of the lies. The bar is too high, and cheating is the only way to reach it. Instagrams are filtered, Facebook profiles are embellished, photos are shopped, Manti T'eo's girlfriend was a fake...is anything real anymore? I found the answer in our journals. These are 100 percent real and 100 percent unedited. The proof is in the pages: We're all pretenders. Another book to look forward to in 2013 is the third book in the Belles series, The Grass is Always Greener! :) I cannot wait to read this book and the title sounds so interesting! :) I cannot wait for them to introduce a new character and I hope it'll be as good as the first and second, which I am currently reading! :) According to Goodreads, the book will be released on April 16th, 2013 and remember to keep reading with us, only on TheReviewChronicles! :) And download an excerpt that Jen Calonita released at http://www.jencalonitaonline.com/ ggexcerpt.pdf Amid preparations for Emerald Cove's extravagant Founders Day celebration and their own shared sweet sixteen, Isabelle Scott and Mirabelle Monroe are longing to break free from the tight constraints that come with being the daughters of a prominent public figure. When Izzie's estranged aunt, Zoe, breezes into town, the already uneasy family dynamic is turned on its head.
Izzie's finally found her footing in Emerald Cove by leading the Social Butterflies, her school's prestigious club, and she has no interest in getting to know yet another long-lost family member. But Mira, who's on a mission to try new things and make new friends, is drawn to Izzie's artsy aunt. And when Mira meets a handsome, brooding painter, her entire perspective on life begins to shift. As tensions mount in Emerald Cove, Zoe's laid-back attitude appeals to both girls. But when she offers Izzie the chance of a lifetime, it's time to make a tough decision. What's more important: family or freedom? Hey readers! :) I cannot wait to keep reading the sequel to Belles by Jen Calonita! :) After loving the first book, the second book is also enchantingly amazing and I cannot say enough good things about it! :) Isabelle Scott and Mirabelle Monroe are still reeling from the revelation that they share more than just the roof over their heads. The media has pounced on their story and the girls are caught up in a flurry of talk-show appearances and newspaper interviews. They’ve put on a happy public face, but someone is leaking their true feelings to the press, and while it seems like the world is watching their every move, at least they have each other.

It’s time for the gowns to go on and the gloves to come off. Excuse me for my fangirling, but Lemony Snicket wrote a prequel series to the Series of Unfortunate Events and I cannot WAIT to read it! :) It's going to be a four-part series and it is going to talk about the childhood of Lemony Snicket! :) The Series of Unfortunate Events was an amazing series and I cannot wait to see what will happen! :) OH MY! :) Watch the trailer below and tell us at TheReviewChronicles what you think! :) In a fading town, far from anyone he knew or trusted, a young Lemony Snicket began his apprenticeship in an organization nobody knows about. He started by asking questions that shouldn't have been on his mind. Now he has written an account that should not be published, in four volumes that shouldn't be read. This is the first volume. The first volume in the four-part autobiographical account of his childhood, called All the Wrong Questions, will be released on Oct. 23, 2012. This will be Snicket’s first new series since the wildly popular A Series of Unfortunate Events. I have to do three reviews and I apologize for not being able to do them sooner. I have been so busy and I will definitely do these reviews as soon as I can! :) Upcoming ReviewsArisa: Volume 9 by Natsumi Ando After what seems like an eternity hanging between life and death, Arisa finally awakens, but she has amnesia. Or so she claims… When King Midori arrives at the hospital, her attitude takes a sudden and — for Tsubasa — heartbreaking turn! Wracked by doubt and without her twin sister at her side, does Tsubasa have any hope of stopping the devious King? The Third Wheel by Jeff Kinney A Valentine's Day dance at Greg's middle school has turned his world upside down. As Greg scrambles to find a date, he's worried he'll be left out in the cold on the big night. His best friend, Rowley, doesn't have any prospects either, but that's a small consolation. An unexpected twist gives Greg a partner for the dance and leaves Rowley the odd man out. But a lot can happen in one night, and in the end, you never know who's going to be lucky in love. 52 Reasons to Hate My Father by Jessica Brody Lexington Larrabee has never to work a day in her life. After all, she’s the heiress to the multi-billion-dollar Larrabee Media empire. And heiresses are not supposed to work. But then again, they’re not supposed to crash brand new Mercedes convertibles into convenience stores on Sunset Blvd either.
Which is why, on Lexi’s eighteen birthday, her ever-absent, tycoon father decides to take a more proactive approach to her wayward life. Every week for the next year, she will have to take on a different low-wage job if she ever wants to receive her beloved trust fund. But if there’s anything worse than working as a maid, a dishwasher, and a fast-food restaurant employee, it’s dealing with Luke, the arrogant, albeit moderately attractive, college intern her father has assigned to keep tabs on her. In a hilarious “comedy of heiress” about family, forgiveness, good intentions, and best of all, second chances, Lexi learns that love can be unconditional, money can be immaterial, and, regardless of age, everyone needs a little saving. And although she might have 52 reasons to hate her father, she only needs one reason to love him. Are you excited for the movie edition of Catching Fire?
