What if the characters in a vampire novel left their world--and came into yours?
Amy is in love with someone who doesn't exist: Alexander Banks, the dashing hero in a popular series of vampire novels. Then one night, Amy meets a boy who bears an eerie resemblance to Alexander. In fact, he IS Alexander, who has escaped from the pages of the book and is in hot pursuit of a wicked vampire named Vigo. Together, Amy and Alexander set out to track Vigo and learn how and why Alexander crossed over. But when she and Alexander begin to fall for each other, Amy wonders if she even wants him to ever return to the realm of fiction.
I find it unfortunate to say that I didn't enjoy this book as much. I mean I really liked it, but it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be.
I guess what didn't cut it for me, was the fact that the main character wasn't too involved. I was craving more action, and romance. There was action, and romance, and a few twists here and there, but there wasn't a great quantity of it.
However, this book was a nice read. It was interesting to read about characters taken out of a book, and put into the real world (I've only ever read books with it the other way around). It was also really interesting to see how the author reacted to the news that her characters were real.
Ironically, I find this book to be a nice, light read. If you're in dire need of something cliché, and light, this may be a great fit!
Likes: The characters.
Dislikes: Predictable, main character wasn't as involved.
