Her dad’s got the mentality of a Teletubby (only not so developed). Her cat, Angus, is trying to eat the poodle next door. And her best friend thinks she looks like an alien – just because she accidentally shaved off her eyebrows. Ergghhhlack. Still, add a little boy-stalking, teacher-baiting, and full-frontal snogging with a Sex God, and Georgia’s year just might turn out to be the most fabbitty fab fab ever!
What can I say about this book? It was HILARIOUS! :) This is the best book I have ever read in the genre of humour/comedy. Louise Rennison definitely knows her way around comedy, and getting into the mind of a fourteen year old girl.
You can really relate to it, because Georgia is a normal teen in England who is just too funny. A little selfish sometimes, but this British girl knows how to work it. She is such a great protagonist, and between shaving off her own eyebrows and keeping her cat, Angus off of Mrs. Next Door's poodle, the hi-jinks never stop.
This novel was never dull, and it kept you flying off the pages with an unexpected cliff-hanger. I liked that the ending did not have that happy-ending cliché. I think the author did a fantastic job, and I am really glad that she used a journal format instead of just a regular format, because we get to see the feelings and thoughts of the one and only Georgia Nicholson. I can't say enough great things about this book, and I'm sure that you'll love it as much as I did!
