Torn between two vampire brothers
Damon: determined to make Elena his, he'd kill his own brother to possess her.
Stefan: desperate for the power to destroy Damon, and protect Elena, he gives in to his thirst for human blood.
Elena: the girl who can have anyone finds herself in the middle of a love triangle . . . one that might turn deadly.
The second novel of the The Vampire Diaries series blew me away - again! :) Mind you, it's VERY VERY different from the T.V. show, which is simultaneously also very good. :) I think that this book started out a little bit tedious, but picked up quickly with surprises in store. And as always, the author L.J. Smith knows how to leave the reader waiting for the next book.
I can't wait to read The Fury and The Dark Reunion. I liked both the books and the series, but I think I enjoyed the first book a little bit more the second. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't pick up the book series, because it's really, really, really good! :) I think readers will enjoy this series, and I recommend readers to try this series. Now that I watch the T.V. show, I always compare the similarities and the differences between the series and the T.V. show. :) But aside from that fact, pick up the series! It's one that you don't want to miss!
Likes: *Spoiler: Damon saving Elena from the diary incident, Damon and Elena chemistry*
Dislikes: slow beginning, Stefan didn't really show his love for Elena that much
*Note: If you want to start the series, start with The Awakening.
