“You’re telling me you can raise the dead simply by summoning?”
"Yes.”
“My God,” she whispered, staring at me.
“What have they done?”
Hearing her words and seeing her expression, I knew I’d just done something worse than raising the dead—I’d confirmed her worst fears about us. In her eyes she saw the same thing I saw when people looked at Derek. I saw fear.
And I knew we were in trouble.

Out of the whole series, I loved THIS book the most. It had enough action, romance, and adventure for me to love it. With the first one (my second favourite) I felt that there wasn’t ENOUGH action and with the second one I felt that there was a lot of that but not much interaction between the characters.

I’m very happy that Derek and Chloe ended up together, I was rooting for them since book 1. Some people say it was predictable, others say it wasn’t. I only say that it could’ve gone either way—Derek or Simon. I felt bad for Simon though, but I think Derek deserves—and needs—Chloe more.
At first Simon—and Derek—were unhappy with Chloe’s crush on Derek. Simon was mad and abandoned Chloe in the forest and Derek had a “discussion” (lot’s of yelling) with Chloe. But at least it all worked out in the end; Chloe and Derek are together, Chloe and Simon are still good friends.
Likes: Everything.
Dislikes:[SPOILER ALERT] That Simon and Tori are half siblings. I was actually rooting for them to be together..
Note: If you're going to start on this series you should start with the first one, The Summoning.
