Vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters-they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks all the laws of the Night World.
In 'Secret Vampire', Poppy thought the summer would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk everything to go against the laws of Night World.
Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in 'Daughters of Darkness'. Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with their beautiful friend.
Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush. It's a battle between black magic and white magic in 'Spellbinder'.
Secret Vampire had me very enthused but I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It was a bit boring because of its simple plot. It was sweet and all but very cliché.
Daughters of Darkness was my favourite out of the three stories in volume one. I found it very entertaining and funny. I flew through the pages for that story and was sad when it ended. I quite enjoyed the relationship between Ash (who makes an appearance in Secret Vampire) and Mary-Lynette. I loved their interaction and loved how Mary-Lynette put Ash in his place.
Spellbinder is my second favourite of the three stories. I found it very entertaining and I loved the rivalry between the sister-like cousins. I loved how they were there for each other in the end but I was a bit sad with how it ended. I'm definitely going to read the next one!
Likes: The characters.
Dislikes: The unsatisfying endings. (Thank God the characters will reappear in the other volumes).
