Mitsuki loves singing, but a malignant tumor in her throat has prevented her from pursuing her passion. However, Mitsuki's life turns around when two fun-loving Shinigami appear to grant her a temporary reprieve from her illness - and give her singing career a magical jump-start. Now that Mitsuki has debuted in the pop world, she is faced with the dark side of the glitz and glamour - petty jealousy and scheming that just might be her undoing. Will her love for Eichi be enough to keep her on the road to stardom? Or will the schemes of a mysterious new Shinigami stop her dreams short?
My favourite Full Moon O Sagashite novel so far! But then again, I've only read two novels so far... Anyways, I truly enjoyed this novel as it was sweet and fulfilling. I enjoyed the two new characters in the story, and the interesting new plot lines they brought along with them. I liked Izumi, but was surprised because I thought he liked Mitsuki at first...turns out it's someone else, so don't expect a new love interest for Mitsuki. Her heart remains on Eichi.
But there is a surprise at the end of the novel, and it makes you want to get the next one right away! The only problem I had with this novel was that some of the characters looked like the other characters, and it got kind of confusing at times. :) But I really enjoyed the added manga story at the end. It was really sweet, and I'm sure you'd enjoy this series too! :) It reminds me sometimes of Ultra Maniac. Since, this is also an anime, I think I might try it out as well like I did with Ultra Maniac's. Overall, I think this manga series is great so far, though!
Likes: the two Shinigami's, Meroko (I got to like her a lot more in the second book)
Dislikes: some of the character's looked the same, and it sort of got confusing at some points as to who was talking to who and what was happening
*Note: This novel is rated 13+ for themes of death.
**Note: If you want to start the manga series, start with Full Moon O Sagashite.
