Twin sisters, Arisa and Tsubasa, are separated by their parent's divorce. The twins secretly exchange letters with each other during their separation. They are finally united after three years and Arisa asks Tsubasa to pretend to be her and spend a day in her school just for fun. At school everyone seems very nice to Tsubasa (who is pretending to be Arisa) and everything seemed normal... until she finds a strange note in her sister's shoe locker. When Tsubasa hands over the letter to Arisa, Arisa tries to kill herself by jumping out of a window. Arisa survives but remains in a coma. The letter read, "Arisa is a traitor." After her sister's suicide attempt, Tsubasa is determined to unravel the mystery behind the letter and her sister's suicide attempt so Tsubasa continues to go to school as Arisa... will she find out who sent the note and why it had such an effect on Arisa?
I love Arisa! I know I say that about every manga novel in this series, but I need to know what happens next. Because at the end of Arisa: Volume 4, you are left with a HUGE cliff-hanger. Plus, the characters that you think are Arisa's friends, might just be her biggest enemies. Or even allies.
Believe me when I say I loved this one also. Arisa: Volume 4 was action-packed, and I couldn't stop turning the pages. I love how well-crafted the novel is. It is just so amazing. It was definitely thriller-amazing-exciting-everything amazing, amazing, amazing!!! :)
Tsubasa never gives up. I continue to say this because it's true. She never gives up, and after going through so much, she still wants to help her sister, even after she finds out some shocking things about her life. She realizes throughout the novel that maybe her sister wasn't the perfect person she always admired and wanted to be.
Betrayal is in the air, and you can't trust anyone. New characters are popping up all over, and you never know who "The King" could be. I just can't wait to find out. :)
Likes: Everything! :) The thriller aspect, Tsubasa's braveness, Akira Manabe + Arisa (Akira and Arisa, how cute!), the names (I love the names Tsubasa and Arisa!), the new characters, the plot switching, the plot never being dull
Dislikes: Nothing. :)
*Note: This book contains some language. It is also rated 13+.
**Note: If you want to start the series, start with Arisa: Volume 1.
