Megan is a miracle. At least, that’s what everyone says. Having survived a plane crash that killed everyone else on board, Megan knows she should be grateful just to be alive. But the truth is, she doesn’t feel like a miracle. In fact, she doesn’t feel anything at all. Then memories from the crash start coming back.
Scared and alone, Megan doesn’t know whom to turn to. Her entire community seems unable—or maybe unwilling—to see her as anything but Miracle Megan. Everyone except for Joe, the beautiful boy next door with a tragic past and secrets of his own. All Megan wants is for her life to get back to normal, but the harder she tries to live up to everyone’s expectations, the worse she feels. And this time, she may be falling too fast to be saved....
Miracle was an incredibly brave read about a girl struggling with the life and title she has received after surviving a plane crash. This story was really unique and was incredibly sweet. I loved how the author tied in mystery, thriller, and romance into a story that was touching and sweet.
The story-line was unique and I was excited to see how the story would unfold. The pace was good and I thought that this story really showed how the events that occurred for this character really affected her. At some parts I felt like the story lagged in excitement but I was glad that the author took time to explain the character and how she was affected.
I wished that there had been more information about the relationship between Joe and Megan but I also liked that they both got to help each other heal. Through their friendship and romance, they really helped each other grow and understand many things.
The other characters in the story were really great and I liked that the author showed the different relationships she had with each of them. Megan's interactions, emotions and feelings were very real and believable.
The flashbacks in the story were really thrilling and left me in suspense because a little was revealed throughout the story and had a different effect on Megan. It was truly amazing and they really helped to guide and explain the story.
I wished that the conclusion of the story had been a little bit more exciting but overall Miracle was a beautiful read that was extremely touching and sweet. :)
