Bianca wants to escape.
As the eerily Gothic Evernight Academy, the other students are sleek, smart, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.
When she meets handsom, brooding Lucas, he warns her to be careful-even when it comes to caring about him. But the connection between them can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart...and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.
I found this to be a nice book to read but, there was one thing that was a HUGE turn off for this book.
When I started reading this book, I was expecting something about vampires, because someone who read this book (I think it's Aria) told me it was and that it was amazing. Well pages, and PAGES into the book and there was no sign of anything vampire-ish.
So, I was a little awkward about that but I got over it, and kept reading expecting this to be about Bianca and Lucas' relationship when I found out that...there ARE vampires! And to top it off, Bianca was 'born' a vampire, and she ALREADY knew this!
That really turned the book off for me, but being the committed reader I am, I finished it. I liked it, but the 'secret vampire' thing really made me feel weird about the book.
Likes: Bianca, and Lucas had a deep connection even if they didn't have a ton in common.
Dislikes: The 'vampire secret'.
