Tsubasa thinks that her pretty and popular twin sister, Arisa, has the perfect life. Everyone at school loves Arisa-unlike the hot-tempered Tsubasa, whose nickname is “The Demon Princess.” But when Arisa attempts suicide, Tsubasa learns that her seemingly perfect sister has been keeping some dark secrets. Now Tsubasa is going undercover at school - disguised as Arisa - in search of the truth. But will Arisa’s secrets shatter Tsubasa’s life, too?
K = THE KING?!
While pretending to be Arisa, Tsubasa has promised to meet with the person known only s "K" - someone who may or may not hold the secret to the King's identity. Will Tsubasa wander into a trap or will she come one step closer to unmasking the King?
This novel left off right where it ended - the huge cliffhanger at the end of Arisa: Volume 6. I was flipping the pages again waiting to see Tsubasa would find out who the King was. Almost! :)
It's really quite amazing that Natsumi Ando can keep the readers' attention for so long with so many plot twists and turns that just leave me turning the pages! The pacing was so amazing with this novel because each thing that happened had a good amount of suspense and time for the event to sink in.
There was something happening at all time and I was so intrigued that I just had to keep reading! I really liked that Tsubasa was able to handle everything and try to keep everybody safe - she really has a true heart.
Again, the side characters continued to help Tsubasa. I was glad that Tsubasa has continued to form an alliance with Akira to stop the King. She and he are both determined to help Arisa no matter what it takes even though they've both been through a lot.
The things that Tsubasa has gone through to help Arisa have been truly amazing and she continues to try. I like that there was a lot of growth and change for her in the novel.
The ending didn't leave a cliffhanger like I thought it would so I wished there would have been a little bit more of a "wow" factor. I just can't wait for the next manga novel!
Likes: Tsubasa, Arisa, Akira, Shizuka, Shizuka's braveness, Tsubasa's confidence, mix of genres, side characters, revealing information while withholding other information, ending, emotions, feelings, thoughts of Tsubasa were real, changes and growth
Dislikes: not a cliffhanger ending
*Note: This novel contains mature content such as language.
**Note: If you want to start the series, start with Arisa: Volume 1.
